Engineering Division

The Engineering Division is responsible for initiating, monitoring, and completing capital improvement projects related to Boone County's transportation network. The projects include, but are not limited to, those authorized by the one-half cent sales tax package that was originally approved by voters in 1993, and subsequently renewed in 1998 and 2008. The division conducts and coordinates the inspection and acceptance of subdivision streets as well as provides technical assistance to Maintenance Operations and other County offices.  The Engineering Division provides design and plans for the Pavement Preservation Program of all maintained asphalt and concrete roadways, bridges, and stormwater structures. The division also administers the Neighborhood Improvement Program.
